Marked by Chairman Mao and approved by Premier Zhou in the early 1970s, Cangzhou Dahua, predecessor of Cangzhou fertilizer plant in Hebei Province, is one of 13 large-scale nitrogenous fertilizer enterprises, into which China introduces large-scale fertilizer production installations from the United States and the Netherlands. It was built in March 1974 and put into operation in April 1977.

On June 27, 1996, it was incorporated into Hebei Cangzhou Dahua Group Co. Ltd., changed its factory system to a corporate system, and formed a new group company management mode with scientific management, along with definite power and responsibilities.

On September 21, 1998, approved by the People's Government of Hebei Province, Cangzhou Dahua Co. Ltd. was set up to mark an important step to create favorable conditions for its stock listing issue.

On December 18, 1999, the TDI project of 20,00-tons per year had achieved success.

On March 17-24, 2000, Cangzhou Dahua Co. Ltd. adopted two IPO methods combining Internet pricing and allocations to secondary market investors. It issued 80 million A shares to the public at an issue price of 4.42 yuan per stock referred to Cangzhou Dahua with the stock code, 600 230.In April 2002, Cangzhou Dahua brought an anti-dumping investigation on imported TDI products, and then in May, the Ministry of Commerce had carried out its investigation.

In November 2003, the Ministry of Commerce judged that products under investigation should be held legally responsible for dumping and inflicting material injury. It has levied anti-dumping duties of 3-49% for these products for a period of five years.

In March 2004, Cangzhou Dahua, the provincial enterprise, was classified as managed by the Changzhou municipal government.

In December 2004, Cangzhou Dahua put forward its anti-dumping mid-term review for TDI products imports, and the Commerce Department has filedr a review.

In June 2005, the technological transformation project of Cangzhou Dahua TDI 2 tons expanded to 30,000-tons succeeded after only one trial, which made Cangzhou Dahua the sole domestic company with transformation technology, as well as the quickest international one to reach standards with the least transformation time in accordance with the same type of devices.

In January 2006, the Ministry of Commerce had succeeded with its Cangzhou Dahua TDI anti-dumping midterm review, deciding to adjust anti-dumping duty rates applied to related foreign enterprises, which is a corresponding increase in individual tax rates and general tax rates.

On October 18, 2006, the Changzhou Municipal People's Government and China National Chemical Corporation signed cooperation agreements for assets reorganization of Hebei Cangzhou Dahua Group Co. Ltd. SASAC of Cangzhou City and China National Chemical and Agrochemical Corporation signed agreements to raise capital and stock for Hebei Cangzhou Dahua Co. Ltd. On December 18, it completed formalities for new company registration and modifications; Cangzhou Dahua Group Co. Ltd became the new name.

On August 31, 2009, the TDI project of 50,000-tons per year had produced qualified TDI products.

On November 20, 2009, Cangzhou Dahua succeeded with its final TDI anti-dumping review, extending the anti-dumping protection period to 2014, safeguarding safety of the domestic TDI industry.

On January 21, 2010, Cangzhou Dahua and the Swedish International Chemical Corp. signed project cooperation agreements of 100,000-tons TDI (Toluene diisocyanate) per year, marking the launch of 100,000-tons TDI per year project.

On October 9, 2010, the DNT project of 60,000-tons per year succeeded.

In April 2011, the TDI quality-improving research and development achieved breakthroughs, developing paint-grade TDI and stepping into high-level polyurethane applications.

On May 3, 2012, technological transformation projects of 60,000-tons of DNT expanded to 90,000-tons.

On May 16, 2012, the provincial key promoted project-100, 000-tons TDI per year with the first-term project of 70,000-tons succeeded with producing qualified TDI products.
